Hyperspace (BBC, 2001)

Ζ How did this get filmed?

This documentary about Astronomy and astrophysics is narrated by Sam Neil, and serves as a perfect example of what is wrong with the newer generation of BBC documentaries. While visually stunning, it is not actually very informative, spending far too much time demonstrating its CGI than discussing the matters of science it is supposed to. It also never actually addresses the concepts related to its title, but rather goes through some rather pedestrian concepts of astronomy. Still, it has a few interesting bits here and there, and is not a complete waste of time

About Thomas Evans

I'm a writer of mysteries, espionage, and speculative fiction. In my previous incarnation I was an archaeologist specializing in gender and identity in Iron and Bronze Age Europe. Mostly, however, I was known for my works with the use of geomatics, multiscalular spatial analysis and landscape theory within archaeology.
